Protective gloves are specially designed gloves made of suitable materials (e.g., leather, rubber, latex, Kevlar, plastic) that protect the hands from mechanical, chemical, biological, thermal, electrical, or other harmful influences. These are personal protective equipment (PPE) designed to protect employees' hands from various workplace hazards. They are used in many industries and must meet certain safety standards to effectively protect the wearer.
Functions of protective gloves:
• Protects against cuts, abrasions, burns and stings
• Protection against chemicals, high or low temperatures
• Prevent biological infections (e.g. in medicine)
• They insulate against electrical current
• They increase comfort and hygiene in the workplace
Types of TEKSON protective gloves:
The TEKSON brand offers a wide range of protective gloves for various applications in industries such as transportation, logistics, automotive and construction.
COMFORT protective gloves
COMFORT protective gloves protect hands from mechanical hazards. They are abrasion-, chafing-, puncture-, cut-, and tear-resistant.
Protective gloves made of goatskin leather on the palm and back of the hand.
COMFORT protective gloves meet the following standards:
- EN 388:2019 Protective gloves against mechanical risks (values achieved on the palm)
- EN ISO 21420: 2020: Protective gloves – General requirements and test methods
and meet the essential requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of 9 March 2016 on personal protective equipment and repealing Council Directive 89/686/EEC.
MASTER protective gloves
MASTER protective gloves are specialty gloves for welders that protect against mechanical and thermal hazards. They are designed to protect hands from mechanical hazards: abrasion resistance, cut resistance, and tear resistance. They also protect against thermal hazards: flammability, resistance to contact heat, resistance to convection heat, and resistance to small splashes of molten metal.
The gloves can be worn when welding (Type A) with the exception of arc welding.
Welding gloves are made of split cowhide, cotton lining, and Kevlar threads.
MASTER gloves meet the requirements of the following standards:
- EN 388:2019 Protective gloves against mechanical risks (values achieved on the palm)
- EN 21420:2020 Protective gloves – General requirements and test methods
- EN 407:2020 Protective gloves against thermal hazards (heat and/or fire)
- EN 12477:2001/A1:2005 Protective gloves for welders
and meet the essential requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of 9 March 2016 on personal protective equipment and repealing Council Directive 89/686/EEC.
PROWELD protective gloves
Protective gloves for welders to protect against mechanical and thermal hazards. TIG welding gloves Type B: designed to protect hands during welding (excluding arc welding) and to protect hands from mechanical and thermal hazards (excluding chemical, microbiological, or electrical hazards). These gloves are not waterproof.
Gloves made of goatskin on the palm and back of the hand, cuff made of split cowhide.
Welding gloves meet the following standards:
- EN 388:2019 Protective gloves against mechanical risks (values achieved on the palm)
